Mindel & Faraday

This information has come to me from Maurice Mindel, whose last business venture was operating the company "Frame Anywhere Ltd" at 4 Parkmead Gardens, London, NW7 2JW.

The company letterhead shown here refers to Maurice's father, Michael Mindel, who was (perhaps during the 1930s and 1940s) in a prestigious photographic business partnership with P. Faraday.
I have now (February 2024) heard from the Deborah McPeake, the granddaughter of Paul Faraday, who has kindly sent a photograph of her grandfather, see lower down this page.

The photograph below, taken at the prestigious studio of (Michael) Mindel & (Paul) Faraday, at 34/36 Oxford Street, London, W.1. has been sent to me by Deborah McPeake.

Deborah tells me: "Paul Faraday was my Grandfather (d.1951). I didn’t meet him but heard wonderful stories about him from my Mother. I thought you would be interested to see this photograph of him with his family taken in 1936".

"Paul Faraday trained as an Architect and then, after his Father’s death in 1916, entered the family business Faraday & Sons Ltd that became Osler & Faraday. He was a very keen photographer which must have prompted him to go into business with Maurice Mindel".
