It shows King George VI with his wife Queen Elizabeth, being photographed by Harry Stead. The daughter being guided by Queen Elizabeth is Princess Margaret and the second girl, just masked by Harry, is almost certainly Princess Elizabeth, now Queen Elizabeth II. The picture is believed to have been taken in the grounds of Windsor Castle, perhaps around the time of the Coronation (May 1937).  |
